MC 370-S3 is a high security magnetic contact set with NC function that can be used in both alarm and access control systems for monitoring doors and windows against unauthorized opening. The contact is specially designed for use in banks, museums, art galleries, stores, etc.
This set includes MC 370 and the plastic housing set MC 300-S3 for surface mount installations, the contact and magnet are snapped in to the plastic parts. The contact set can be mounted on steel doors. When installing on steel please use the plastic spacers on both the contact and magnetic part as the steel absorbs the magnetic field and reduces the gap between contact part and magnet part.
Both the contact and the magnet part are in a water proof (IP 67) plastic housing. Contact and magnet are paired. To ensure proper functionality, do not replace the contact or magnet alone. The contact set is delivered with housings, snap-on covers, 3 mm spacers and screws in acid-resistant non-magnetic materials A4.
